Christine Santaniello is currently an Associate Commissioner at NH DHHS. At DHHS, Chris is focused on the provision of whole family and whole person supports and bringing people and communities together to create stronger systems for those served.
Chris joined DHHS in 2016, first leading the Bureau of Developmental Services, creating the Division of Long Term Supports and Services, and in 2019 transitioned to lead the Division of Economic and Housing Stability (DEHS). DEHS provides primary prevention, family strengthening, and economic assistance in an effort towards upward economic mobility for individuals and families. DEHS includes Family Assistance, Employment Supports, Child Development & Head Start Collaboration, and Housing Supports.
Prior to starting with the NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Chris spent more than 25 years working providing community-based, family strengthening and support services.
Chris received her Bachelors of Arts in Social Work at the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science in Social Work from Kent School of Social Work, University of Louisville.
